Community Trust Bank to Host Benefit For Hope For the Homeless
“Cookout for a Cause” will be held at the bank’s Shreveport Financial Center
SHREVEPORT – Community Trust Bank will host “Cookout for a Cause” to benefit HOPE for the Homeless at its Shreveport Financial Center on May 16, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
“We are proud to support HOPE for the Homeless. Events like this are not only rewarding for the recipients, but are rewarding and uplifting for our entire banking team, as well. Community Trust is an organization that believes in instilling strong community-centered values throughout all aspects of our operation, and supporting those most in need,” said Larry Little, Regional President, Community Trust Bank.
HOPE (Homeless Organizations Providing Empowerment) is an organization that aims to address the housing and service needs of the homeless, giving them an effective transition from homelessness to permanent and/or permanent-supported housing and self-sufficiency. HOPE for the Homeless has been incorporated as Northwest Louisiana’s homeless coalition since 2001. The organization leads the effort in area-wide strategic planning and provides area homeless service agencies opportunities to collaborate, network, and locate referral sources. HOPE strives to achieve this through informative monthly Homeless Coalition meetings and by educating the community about homelessness and the agencies that work so hard to address the issue.
“HOPE for the Homeless is thrilled to partner with Community Trust Bank as we embark on the creation of a collaborative project designed to end chronic homelessness in Northwest Louisiana,” said Christa Pazzaglia, Executive Director, HOPE for the Homeless.
Plates are $5 and will include a hamburger, chips, drink, and a cookie. The Shreveport Financial Center is located at 1350 East 70th Street.
